A Quarter Century Commitment of Royal Patronage

The Ulysses Trust is delighted to announce that HRH The Prince of Wales has kindly extended his patronage of the Ulysses Trust until 2018.

HRH’s involvement began in 1991, when he agreed to become Patron of the Territorial Army’s expedition to attempt the first British winter ascent of Everest, a project that resulted in the formation of the Ulysses Trust as a registered charity in 1992 and of which he also became Patron.

Since its establishment, the Ulysses Trust has provided £1.7m to help some 20,000 members of the Volunteer Reserve and Cadet Forces take part in over 1800 challenging and adventurous expeditions around the world, contributing to their individual development and as members of their communities.

The following film shows HRH The Prince of Wales speaking on the occasion of our 20th anniversary.
