Major Stephen Wright TD

Stephen Wright was commissioned into the Territorial Army in 1976. His earliest military experience was in his school’s Combined Cadet Force where he enjoyed his first encounters with adventurous training in the Brecon Beacons back in the mid-1960s. A banker by profession, Stephen took early retirement from his management duties in the Birmingham area in 1997 at which time he was appointed as Head of Finance and Human Resources at West Midland Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association. Shortly after taking up this role he retired as an Army Reservist after 25 years’ service. Although the main part of his TA duties had involved work in an administrative capacity he greatly enjoyed participating in other Unit activities as and when time permitted. Now retired he and his wife Mary enjoy life in rural Staffordshire. In addition to his duties with The Ulysses Trust Stephen fulfills roles with several charitable trusts as an active trustee.
