Expedition Mountain Goat 2015 – Writhlington School CCF

From the 14th February until 21st February 2015, Writhlington School Combined Cadet Force undertook an expedition to Andorra in the Pyrenees. The aims of the expedition were to introduce alpine skiing to novice cadets and to develop the skills of those with previous experience. All cadets were assessed on the Snowsport Scotland Snowlife Award scheme.

Operation Vertex – 2344 (Longbenton) Squadron Air Training Corps

A team of nine cadets and staff from 2344 (Longbenton) Squadron have succeeded in climbing their first foreign peak – the Pic Du Canigou in France.
