Everest Base Camp Cadet Trek 2028

The Ulysses Trust is proud to announce its support for the Everest Base Camp Trek 2028, an inspiring expedition bringing together adventure, leadership and purpose at the roof of the world.

Thanks to the generosity Team Forces and Army Sport, we are able to support ten army cadets from across the UK to take on a fully funded trek in Nepal to Everest Base Camp in 2028, developing confidence, resilience and leadership in one of the world’s most iconic mountain environments.

Led and championed by Ulysses Trust Ambassador Jordan Wylie MBE, this journey will follow the legendary Himalayan trail to Everest Base Camp, highlighting the transformative power of adventurous training for the Cadet Forces.

This page is the official hub for all expedition news, updates, and stories as the journey unfolds.

About the Expedition

The Everest Base Camp Trek is one of the world’s most iconic high-altitude challenges, taking participants through the breathtaking Khumbu Valley of Nepal to an altitude of over 5,300 metres.

The 2028 expedition will bring together a team of Army cadets united by resilience, teamwork and determination — qualities that reflect the very best of the Cadet Forces.

Along the way, the team will experience demanding terrain, extreme altitude, and rapidly changing conditions, all while working together to reach one of the most famous destinations in global mountaineering.

Why This Matters

The Everest Base Camp Trek 2028 is about far more than reaching a destination.

It is about:

  • Building confidence through challenge
  • Developing leadership under pressure
  • Strengthening teamwork and resilience
  • Showcasing the impact of adventurous training
  • Supporting opportunities for young people and Service personnel
