Ulysses Trust Annual Gathering at HMS President

On 15 July 2026, we held the Ulysses Trust’s Annual Gathering at HMS President — a lunchtime event bringing together our volunteers, trustees, Ambassadors, Vice Patrons, staff and special guests to celebrate the contribution of all our volunteers, reflect on our work and look towards the future.

Hosted by our Chair, Brigadier Tim Seal, the gathering was a wonderful opportunity to recognise the dedication and commitment of our volunteers. We also welcomed two new volunteers who were presented with badges as part of our Volunteer Recognition Award scheme.

The event also included an inspiring presentation from Major Colin Wells and Staff Sergeant Paul Dowling of Cambridgeshire Army Cadet Force, who shared their experiences of the Venturer Mount Kilimanjaro expedition, an Army Cadet expedition supported by the Ulysses Trust.

Their presentation provided a valuable insight into the opportunities and experiences made possible through expeditionary activity and the positive impact these opportunities can have on young people.

We would like to thank all our volunteers for everything they do to support our work. Your time, energy and commitment makes a real difference.

A special thank you also goes to all our special guests who joined us, including Major General Mark Lancaster, Baron Lancaster of Kimbolton and Head of Reserves. We were delighted to have you with us and greatly appreciate your support.

It was a valuable and enjoyable opportunity to come together, celebrate the achievements of our volunteers, reflect on the work of the Ulysses Trust and look ahead to the opportunities and challenges of the future.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the gathering such a success.
