“Veterans who become Adult Volunteers with the Cadets do so because they want to stay in touch with and give back to the Services in some way. For many, this provides them a ‘social anchor’ when they leave the Services, and for some it is a route to new, meaningful activity as these young people value their experience and knowledge. We wanted to encourage more veterans to get involved and to ensure that they are not out pocket when they are engaged with Cadet expeditions. The expertise of The Ulysses Trust as our partners in this is essential to achieving our aims.”
