The Odyssey Circle

“I am a part of all that I have met;
Yet all experience is an arch wherethro’
Gleams that untravelld world, whose margin fades
For ever and for ever when I move….
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.”

Ulysses, by Alfred Lord Tennyson

The Ulysses Trust provides encouragement, advice and financial support for challenging expeditions planned and undertaken by our Volunteer Reserve and Cadet Forces. In so doing, we help the engagement and development of young people in our society, both individually and as effective contributors to their communities and as citizens of this country.

Your support for The Ulysses Trust enables these expeditions – journeys of discovery not only of the world but of self. An Odyssey.

THE ODYSSEY CIRCLE
The Odyssey Circle a society of like-minded people who support the Reserves and Cadets through expeditions and the life changing opportunities they represent. It is named after the legendary King of Ithaca, Odysseus, and is the Greek variant of Ulysses.

Being a Member of the Circle is not only a great way to invest in the support the Ulysses Trust offers, it is also a rewarding way of being more closely involved with its work and its beneficiaries. Members are entitled to range of benefits, from events with other members to opportunities to meet beneficiaries, as the Trust extends its appreciation for your partnership.

HOW TO JOIN THE ODYSSEY CIRCLE
Odyssey Circle membership starts at £1,000 per year, pledged annually, for at least five years or a one off gift of £5,000 or more. Payments can be made monthly or annually, by cheque or Standing Order. If you are a UK taxpayer, you can increase the value of your support at no cost to yourself through Gift Aid.

Lifetime membership is offered to those who inform us of their intention to remember the work of the Trust in their Wills, by completing a Declared Legacy form. New members will be warmly welcomed and formally admitted to the Circle by the President or a Vice Patron of the Trust at our Annual Gathering.
