Previous Chair of the Ulysses Trust, AVM Nick Kurth (pictured left), represented the organisation at the Aviation Focus Group (AFG) Christmas lunch on 29 Nov 23 at the RAF Club. The AFG is a member of the Trust’s Odyssey Circle and Nick presented the Circle Plaque to the AFG Chair, AVM Sean Bell (pictured right). Additionally, he thanked the 100-odd AFG members present for their continued support of the Trust.
In attendance were also Sqn Ldr Chris Booty, CO of 282 (East Ham) ATC Sqn, and Cdt Sgt Samuel Katende from the Sqn. Samuel did a fantastic job speaking at the lunch about his experience of a Snowdonia expedition (Ex: Eryri Heights 2023) that was supported by the AFG through the Ulysses Trust.
AVM Nick said, ’Samuel spoke confidently about his time on exped and discussed the benefits arising from both his time in Snowdonia and his Gold DofE Award. There was universal applause for his account from all the AFG members present’. Well done Samuel!
